Girls Club Middle School Flag Football League Fall 2023
Join the fastest rising sport across the country. The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) announced on April 6th, 2021 that Girls Flag Football will be a sanctioned sport in 2021. Alabama joined Florida, Arizona, Colorado, California, Georgia, Nevada, Alaska, Arizona, New Jersey and New York to sanction Girls Flag Football as a high school sport.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced that it would begin recognizing women's flag football as a varsity sport in 2021. College scholarships are awarded from NAIA Schools across the country. There are currently 17 NAIA colleges with women flag football teams. Junior Colleges are also getting into the action. National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) offer women's flag football in 2022 with partial scholarships. There are currently 11 (NJCAA) colleges with women flag football teams.
Flag Football is an excellent sport to teach young girls leadership and self confidence. Girls Flag Football is the most popular and well attended sport on intramural college campuses. The Club Middle School League is a perfect league for girls to play with their classmates or friends and get familiar with the sport before high school. Also, ideal league for travel softball, volleyball, soccer, and basketball teams
We welcome all girls teams from Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville or any other communities in Central or North Alabama. For any teams traveling long distances we can schedule double headers or play games at your facilities.
The last day to register is September 1st. Practice day/time/location is determined by the Head Coach. Games begin sometime in September
